Shadyside Home

Nestled in the coveted Shadyside area of Pittsburgh, the flooding natural light within this newly built condo inspired the interior design. Weisshouse designers Stacy Weiss and Stan Adamik sought a design that would complement abundant natural light in their space with a soft neutral color scheme while remaining modern with iconic Italian design elements.

We worked closely with the clients to understand their vision and preferences, ultimately deciding on incorporating their existing unique and ornate Murano Glass Chandelier into the design. This stunning piece, made by master artisans in Italy, serves as a focal point in the dining area and beautifully complements the classic silhouette of the Cassina Cab dining chairs and sleek B&B Italia dining table.

The living room receives the most natural light, and the streamlined sophisticated nature of the Met Sectional by Cassina works in harmony with the room. Adjacent to the sectional, a B&B Italia leather lounge chair is a sculptural focal point for the living room and a great example of iconic Italian design. Anchoring the sofa and lounge chair is a beautiful wool area rug featuring an abstract design in a palette of taupe, grey, and ivory tonalities, creating a painterly effect.

The bedroom serves as a peaceful sanctuary, enveloping warm colors, soft lighting, and intriguing textures, such as the camel bench situated at the foot of the bed. Plush layers and shapely furniture add warmth and comfort to an otherwise modern and contemporary home.

The elegant and sophisticated color palette flows throughout the home, providing contrast, refinement, texture, and visual interest while seamlessly integrating a modern aesthetic.
