Modern Industrial Penthouse

For Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2018 Ultimate House, the pallet was a 1.2 million-dollar penthouse located in the Empire On Liberty. Developed by RDC and Desmone Architects, The Empire Building stands proud in Pittsburgh’s diverse Little Italy area of Bloomfield. This 3,000-square-foot penthouse is an open floor concept with industrial accents and was a fitting collaboration with our contemporary design sensibility.

The open floor plan reflected designated areas: kitchen, wet bar lounge, and excellent dining room. Each section had its character yet worked together for a cohesive look. The interior reflects Weisshouse’s eclectic take on modern design. In the Living Room, iconic silhouettes such as the Charles Sofa & the Metropolitan Chair by B&B Italia are accented with a vintage patchwork Kilim area rug. The sculptural Dining table designed by Rem Koolhas anchors the kitchen and an outdoor balcony. Layers of art and vintage area rugs carry throughout the penthouse, resulting in a one-of-a-kind look – signature to Weisshouse
