Eclectic Home Office

Raise your hand if you have a design or organization project on your 2011 wish list! Ok, we admit we can’t see you but we know that there are lots of you out there looking for stylish solutions to home office challenges.

In fact, let’s meet Georgette’s design challenge – a home office with outdated wood paneling and an overall dark look that had her constantly looking over her shoulder for a ghost in a three-piece grey polyester suit and pipe. Her goal? To refresh the space, bring it up to date and stamp the office with her own personality.

The paneling was painted over with a fresh coat (or three) of white paint to lighten up the environment and provide a blank palette. Then Georgette worked with the amazing Stacy Weiss and her fabulous design team (shout outs to Stan and Ron!) from Pittsburgh’s own Weisshouse to furnish and style the office with an eclectic blend of pieces. Ranging from clear acrylic chairs to a printed chaise longue, a lacquered box and funky favorite lamp, the office now has Georgette’s joie de vivre while remaining a functional space for meetings, conference calls and more.
